Total Pledged on Crowdfunder So Far

Total Pledged: £20

Total Required: £399,980

MP’s will have the task of voting on the Brexit deal in October 2018. Despite the people’s majority decision to leave, as voted for in the referendum, that majority is not accurately reflected in Parliament by the numbers of MP’s aligned with leaving versus remaining.

The MP’s must be left in no doubt; the people expect them to follow through on the referendum result – that means voting for a Real Brexit  – not for Brexit In Name Only.

The Triple-R campaign is aimed at holding them to account using the referendum result as the basis.

WHAT DOES THE ‘Triple-R campaign’ LOOK LIKE?

This is what can be done:

Hold a rally and march in London on a Saturday afternoon in mid-October (exact date to be confirmed).  Speakers to include high-profile Brexiteer politicians – possibly with the stage hosted by one or two Brexit supporting  show-biz personalities – and possibly including performances by high-profile, Brexit supporting musicians (yet to be identified).

Carry out a national advertising campaign using street hoardings/billboards – carrying the message ‘Respect the Referendum Result – make your voice heard by your MP – demand that your MP votes No to BINO – Yes to a Real Brexit’

To organise a large event and a national campaign requires substantial funding. These funds can be raised by crowd-funding – large numbers making small contributions – there are at least 17.4 million of us. The initial target is £400,000 – if this full amount is not pledged within a 5-week time-window then none of the money pledged will turn into donations and the campaign can’t be funded. It can’t happen without funds. Costs include national advertising, venue hire, policing,  stage,  sound system, porta-loos, giant screens, T-shirts, banners, leaflets etc.

If very large numbers sign up, then simultaneous events can be organised to take place in other major cities, with a live link-up to the main event.

You can also email your local MP with a simple message – ‘Respect the Referendum Result’ – this is simple to do – see the web links below to find out the address.

WHAT THE CAMPAIGN AIMS TO DO – AND WHAT IT DOES NOT AIM TO DO

It is not the purpose of this website or this campaign to engage in arguments about the pros and cons of the details of leaving the EU. The decision made by most leavers in the referendum was typically based on gut-instinct and intuition, and in the final reckoning these carry more weight than the results obtained from picking apart and analysing the complex and drawn-out details. In their hearts the leave-voters are aware that, in the long term, leaving the EU is in the best interests of the British people, whatever the short term economic cost may be. It is time for leave-voters to express this, simply by re-stating that it is their strongly felt position.

HOW TO SUPPORT THE CAMPAIGN

There are several ways you can show your support:

Show your support by going to the Crowd-funding web page and make a pledge – this is effectively your ‘registration’ as a supporter of the Triple-R campaign – a minimum registration fee of £3 is suggested.  The email address you use to make the donation will mean that you are ‘counted’ as a supporter. It’s like an online petition, demanding that MP’s vote in parliament to ‘Respect the Referendum Result’. In addition, we want to be able to email you with details of venues for rally and march events and contact you with details of posters, T-shirts, banners, leaflets etc that will promote the campaign.

Follow the link to the ‘Crowdfunder’ website and pledge a contribution to the Triple-R campaign.

Hopefully you will want to join a rally and march in October, in London or another major city. There is an online form below which you can fill in to say:

(1) you want to attend
(2) what is your preferred choice of city
(3) whether you intend bringing children or ‘others’ who have not registered.

(If your intention is to attend a rally and march, it is suggested that a pledge of £8 is a notional cost price of providing a place for each person at the event –   more is welcomed if you can afford it – the suggested minimum is the £3 ‘registration’ pledge )
Disclaimer: Triple R Campaign will make a best effort to provide the ‘entertainment’ elements of the rally and march events as described above but delivery is not guaranteed.

Don’t Delay – Do it Today    –   the key vote in Parliament is only 3 months away – this is a chance to make a significant impact on that vote – but there is limited time left in which to fund and organise the event(s).

THE REGISTRATION FEE – IT MEANS YOUR VOICE IS COUNTED

A small registration fee of £3 is charged because this helps fund the campaign, and additionally, having a large number of campaign supporters, that we can accurately claim, will have an influence on the October vote in Parliament. Accurate estimates of numbers are also important for planning the scale of the march and rally event(s). A pledge of £3 is a minimum and of course larger pledges are welcomed. Whatever the amount you pledge on the Crowdfunder web page, it will be taking the campaign one step closer to the target of £400,000, which must be reached in order to turn your pledge into a donation. It’s a case of all-or-nothing – if only £399,000 is pledged, none of that will be turned into donations (your full pledge amount will be returned to you by Crowdfunder/Paypal) – the campaign will receive zero – it’s down to you to make that pledge and to make the difference.

The pledging process on the Crowdfunder web page only takes a brief time.  When compared with the energy you have probably spent in dealing with the frustrations generated by the resistance to Brexit from many politicians and media-commentators, it is a small but important commitment of your time and energy. So –  Don’t Get Mad – Get Wise – make your commitment to the cause of this campaign. It’s your chance to start the process of ‘taking action’ rather than continuing to accept being a part of the ‘silent majority’. You are silent no longer – you are counted. (When you sign up to the Crowdfunder website you will be asked to create a username, and for your full name and address along with your email address. Your username only will be publicly visible on Crowdfunder. Your other details will be received by us at Triple R Campaign but will be secure and will not be made public.)

This web page tells you exactly how to contact your local MP – it tells you their name, their email address, their local office address and phone number. From here you can go further, to find out when and where they hold their regular local meetings with the public (called surgeries). Why not organise a demonstration at their meeting venue – just being there with some placards, banners, maybe wearing T-shirts, could make a difference.

Many detailed arguments here for why we should leave the EU by means of a Real Brexit  – No BINO.

www.migrationwatchuk.org

There is a lot of information here about the statistics of UK immigration. This includes an accurate record of historical UK immigration and future projections of the increase in total UK population over the next 25 years, based on high, mid-range and low rates of immigration. The website also points out a prime reason about why this issue is more urgent in the UK (especially England) than elsewhere in Europe – England is currently twice as crowded as Germany and four times more crowded than France.

CHOOSE YOUR PREFERRED VENUE FOR A RALLY & MARCH EVENT

It is proposed to stage the main event in London. Historically the influence of the will of the people on those in power has taken place in the capital. If the London event is shaping up to be over-subscribed and the numbers showing interest in other venues are viable, then other events will be organised to take place simultaneously –  with a live link to the London event.

(Please use the same email address that you used to make your ‘registration’ pledge on the Crowdfunder website (this will be used to keep you informed of event venues, timings, details, etc ).

Please fill in the form below if you want your email address or your name to go onto a local ‘group email list’ to allow contact with other supporters in your area.

Note. The postcode information is to allow supporters in a local area to make email contact with each other so they can organise locally. Only provide your postcode if you are happy to have your email address go onto a local ‘group email list’ which will be circulated to those supporters in your area. Similarly, only provide your name (either first name or both names) if you are happy to have that information go onto the local ‘group email list’.

OFFER YOUR TIME AND SKILLS TO HELP ORGANISE THE CAMPAIGN

Do you have any skills and available-time that you wish to offer, to contribute to the organisation of the campaign? If so, then please email a description of how you would like to help and some form of CV detailing the skills and experience that you bring. To date the organisation consists of a small number of part-time enthusiasts, but as this campaign takes-off it will likely have to evolve into a staffed office to administer the whole campaign project. Professional skills are likely to be needed in the areas of accountancy, law, event management, IT, office administration, marketing, PR, and others. In the first instance if you have experience in managing large events or setting up IT systems for projects handling small quantities of data but for large numbers of people, then please contact the campaign office asap.
